Description
The thermal waters of Saint-Laurent-les-Bains, containing sodium bicarbonate, fall into the category of trace metal, gaseous and radioactive waters. Their temperature (53°C) is an important agent in therapy by promoting peripheral vascular dilation, tissue oxygenation and pain relief.
At the point where the waters divide between the Atlantic and the Mediterranean, between the Massif Central and the Midi, Saint-Laurent feeds on the crisp mountain air and the calming currents of the south. This very small mountain village offers its visitors an authentic and charming setting, with its pretty stone houses, and its fortified tower which houses a Museum dedicated to water, watching over the heights.
Around the central square and its fountain, the thermal baths are lined up, as well as the café and the village shop, the post office, the tourist office and accommodation.
