Description
The Hubac des Plaines forest house is located in the heart of the Chambons forest, a forest dominated by fir and beech trees. This former Water and Forest House has always been inhabited by forest rangers, before being replaced by vacationers seeking nature and tranquility.
A privileged place for discovering nature. Before the revolution, the Chambons national forest belonged to the Cistercian abbey of the same name. This peaceful location is the perfect choice for recharging your batteries and enjoying a wide range of outdoor activities. Located in the heart of the Grand Tanargue mixed biological reserve, the forest house overlooks a meadow maintained by regular grazing. The surrounding forest gives the site a mountain atmosphere.
Located at an altitude of 1200 meters, the building has been completely renovated. With its large capacity (up to 15 seats), it is ideal for gatherings of family or friends with multiple interests: relaxation for some, outdoor activities for others. The stone-built building has character and is beautifully lit.
On the ground floor, a fully equipped kitchen, a vaulted stone living room, an Alsatian stove, and a cozy dining room open onto the outdoor space. You'll also find a toilet and a disabled-accessible bedroom with a sink, shower, and five single beds with two bunk beds and one single bed.
Upstairs, there are 2 toilets and 4 large bedrooms, each equipped with a shower and a sink:
– bedroom 2: two beds with single beds
– bedroom 3: two beds with single beds
– bedroom 4: three beds with a bunk bed and a single bed
– bedroom 5: three beds with a double bed and a single bed
The house is connected to the water and electricity networks. There is a stone barbecue outside.
Firewood included in the entrance hall and central heating.
Activities: Hiking and mountain biking (trails nearby), canyoning, and rock climbing are just some of the outdoor activities available in this exceptional setting. For ski enthusiasts, the lodge is located between the Croix de Bauzon and La Chavade Bel Air resorts.
Access to the site: Access via a private tarmacked road belonging to the National Forestry Office, several parking spaces in front of the forester's house. Please do not park in front of the ONF garages.
Arrival after 16 p.m. and departure before noon.
Sheets and towels not provided. Duvets and pillows provided.
Mandatory cleaning service.
No television, Wi-Fi, or freezer. In the kitchen: oven, refrigerator with freezer, dishwasher, pressure cooker, 2 conventional coffee makers, etc.
