Description
The refuge cabin allows hikers of all types: on foot, bicycle, snowshoes, skis, horses or with hiking donkeys to be able to stop there for a night during their travels on the Partage des Eaux or on the GR®7 and GR®3.
Nestled in a beautiful clearing, in a peaceful and natural setting, the cabin is located approximately 2 km from Mont Gerbier-de-Jonc and the Sources of the Loire River. It is a former outbuilding of the National Forestry Office (ONF), once attached to a now-vanished forester's lodge. Built of stone, the cabin offers approximately 25 m² of living space. Equipped with a wood-burning stove, it can accommodate a dozen hikers for an evening or eight people for an overnight stay.
