And who says autumn, says chestnut, and in the Ardèche Mountains it is synonymous with Castagnades! These festivals, dedicated to the cultivation and cooking of chestnuts, take place every year, from mid-October to mid-November in different Ardèche towns, but it is at the end of October that you can enjoy these tastings in Saint-Laurent-les-Bains-Laval-d'Aurelle. In June, the AOP Fin Gras du Mézenc is in the spotlight! This beef from oxen and heifers raised on hay and grass in the Mézenc region is available from February to June only in traditional butchers. Since its creation in 1996, the Fête de l'AOP Fin Gras has brought together an entire region around a unique know-how during which animal parades, themed walks, a market, tastings, musical entertainment and various activities will enchant the public.
