Description
Cellier du Luc is a village bordering Lozère, bordered to the west by the Allier and by the Espezonnette to the north. The communal territory was used for a long time as a cellar, by the lords of Polignac de Luc, its exposure favoring the cultivation of cereals.
On the banks of the Liauron, which crosses the town, there have been up to 10 grain mills!
The neo-Gothic style church is original with its facade alternating gneiss, basalt and pozzolan, giving it a very special charm.
The village has a bread oven still in operation, a beech tree over a hundred years old which overlooks the village and a small picturesque bridge which is the pride of its inhabitants – called Lucocellariens and Lucocellariens.
Around the village many hikes are available to you. From the sportiest to the softest, you can choose the one that best suits your pace.
