Description
History says that a bull from Pope Paul II of November 29, 1468 gave Antoine Ithier de Géorand dit le Vieux, prior of Arlempdes, the cure of the church of Saint-Victor d'Issarlès. The church of Issarlès was that of a priory dependent on the cathedral chapter of Notre-Dame du Puy.
The current building, probably dating from the 12th century, has undergone many transformations, but has retained the nave with two bays and the original porch. Unlike many others, this last one was not destroyed, but was simply moved three meters when the nave was lengthened in the 1850s. This Romanesque porch, open in the western facade, has two wide arches resting on small columns with sculpted capitals.
