One-hour guided tour to discover a fully operational mill and immerse yourself in village life of yesteryear: the miller's trade, agriculture, know-how and traditions. By reservation only.
In the heart of the Ardèche Mountains, discover the world of Renewable Energies inside a restored old watermill. Presentations and hands-on experiments will be offered, featuring objects and mechanisms developed by a lineage of ingenious inventors and patient, determined craftspeople.
For which audience?
The renewable energy mill is open to all types of visitors. For groups (schools, seniors, works councils, etc.), contact us and we will create a customized day trip or stay tailored to your objectives.
On site:
Picnic tables, a seed library, a book exchange, an exhibition of poems by Paulette Oger-Michel and old photos of the town, an exhibition on renewable energies, and a cultural and artistic program to discover on http://www.mairie-stedl.fr
After the visit :
– To extend your immersion in renewable energies, a 13km marked circuit (450m of elevation gain) – will take you to the foot of the wind farm. This hike will be an opportunity for you to get very close to these giant windmills, but also to discover the peat natural environment that surrounds these wind turbines.
Children's Escape Games: The Druid or the Hot Air Balloon of Lost Friends.
Seed library:
Come drop off or take natural seeds freely. Collect some seeds from your seeds and come share them at the Masméjean mill. The opportunity to experience another mode of exchange based on self-management and trust.
The seed library at Moulin de Masméjean is set up in collaboration with the association Les Arts Sauvages.
