Description
Sub-lacustrine volcano, the panorama of the cross opens on the needles of viscous lava of the surroundings of Borée. The walk towards the Cirque des Boutières will allow you to find the shape of the ancient volcano which occupied the site.
The orientation table of the Croix des Boutières, in clear weather, offers an exceptional panorama of the Alpine peaks.
The Cirque des Boutières cliff represents what remains of the crater of an ancient volcano, subsequently ruined by glacial erosion which created
a large amphitheater. In this magnificent circus, you will be able to admire an interesting and characteristic fauna and flora of the Mézenc Gerbier massif.
Hike: easy walk along the GR (1km round trip) and interpretation table on the edge of the Cirque de Cuzets (follow the signs for the Montagne Ardéchoise).
