The crossing of the sources of the Loire

Associations:Home/Natural heritage/The crossing of the sources of the Loire

Description

The junction of the sources of the Loire, at the mill of Ligeret, is the place of all the postcards.

The Loire is a 1 kilometer long river, which makes it the longest having its course in France. Very quickly, the Loire meets its first tributary, the Aigue Nègre. Although this first tributary traveled 013 km at the confluence against 4 km for the Loire, its source is considered to be in Ardèche, at Mont Gerbier de Jonc.
