Description
This ancient volcano, 1413 meters high, overlooks the village of Plagnal. You will enjoy a superb view of the Ardèche Mountains, the Margeride and the Cévennes. Accessible by car on a passable road.
At the top of the Suc de Chapelas, a wide panorama takes shape.
This juice is a Strombolian volcano of the same type as Mont Gerbier de Joncs.
Thus, the plain on which the current village is built would be an old lake, filled in by the lava of the volcano.
Volcanism is present here in the presence of pozzolana on the access path.
