Description

Traditional cuisine at the true source of the Loire, using local produce. At Régine's, you'll enjoy traditional Ardèche dishes and seasonal specialties (Maôche, Fin Gras du Mézenc, porcini mushroom omelet, blueberry tarts, dessert).

Seasonal specialties: Fin Gras du Mézenc beef (from February to June), maôche (in autumn and winter, by reservation), omelets and puff pastries with ceps.

Indulgent desserts: homemade pastries, ice cream sundaes, blueberry tarts, chestnut-based desserts, Baked Alaska.

Group menus available on request. Evening meals available by reservation.

The highlights: a daily special, a menu, and quick meal deals during peak season. A stone slab bears the inscription: "Here begins my journey to the ocean." A themed trail about the source of the Loire River is available for visitors.

In winter: cross-country ski rental, ski touring, snowshoeing, sledding and fat biking for rides on the trails at the foot of Mont Gerbier-de-Jonc.

At an altitude of 1400m at the foot of Mont Gerbier-de-Jonc, the Nordic area offers cross-country skiing and snowshoeing trails ranging from 2,5km to 8km. Ski, snowshoe, fat bike and sled rentals are available on site below the restaurant "Chez Régine".

This source corresponds to the official source indicated on the cadastral plan n° 87. It flows in a natural environment, it comes out of the ground in a meadow, under a stone which bears the inscription “here begins my road to the ocean”.
