Electric bikes: what are they?
The Vélos de la Montagne ardéchoise are mountain bikes or hybrid bikes with electric assistance.
Your electric bike becomes your best ally on hills or when you want to take a break from your effort. Modulable and able to be stopped at any time, you adapt the intensity of your effort easily and instantly. The performance of electrically assisted bicycles is remarkable and makes exploring the Ardèche Mountains by bicycle fun. With a range ranging from 40 to more than 100 km depending on the mode adopted, you will have plenty of time to explore new trails. For your peace of mind, the bike counter indicates the remaining range in number of kilometres. Whether for use on the road, on paths or on rough tracks, you will find high-performance equipment at the service of your desire.
How do I get an electric bike?
You can find out about the availability of bicycles from the 15 rental points in the Ardèche Mountains (see list of rental points).
What accessories are available?
Depending on the rental points, accessories to facilitate your trip on an electrically assisted bike are offered to you, such as child trailers, baby carriers, GPS, etc. To rent them, make sure they are available.
Tip: e-bikes open up new spaces for you.
However, be sure to take a course for which you have
technical skills.
