Description
In 1764, the quiet town of Saint-Etienne de Lugdares experienced its moment in history. The Beast of Gévaudan had committed his first crime at Hubacs.
The painter Gérard LATTIER illustrated this reality, which has become legendary and which has even reached the status of myth, through 43 paintings which will surprise you with the richness of their details. This work is exhibited in its entirety in the former chapel of the convent of Saint-Joseph.
