Description
This inn is infamous for the crimes committed there between 1807 and 1833. Step back into the 19th century and enter this sinister establishment, where you'll immediately be immersed in the heart of the matter. Next door is a hotel-restaurant and a shop.
It was here that the Martin couple, aided by their servant Jean Rochette, murdered several travelers who stopped at their home for the night, with the aim of robbing them.
The innkeepers were arrested, sentenced to death, and then guillotined on October 2, 1833 in the courtyard of the inn.
The tall stone marks the exact spot where they were executed.
